A Oliveira como recurso
Recentemente, tive oportunidade de visitar Creta e apercebi-me da importância e da forma como um recurso natural, a Oliveira, é aproveitada. Em Creta existem 30 milhões de oliveiras, com uma percentagem elevada de olival com rega, que são convenientemente tratadas e os seus frutos anualmente colhidos e transformados. Não ficam oliveiras por colher e os seus frutos são convenientemente transformados, não só em azeite, azeitonas de conserva ou "paté" de azeitona, mas também em produtos de cosmética, significativamente valorizados.
